With the recent introduction of Google Marketing Platform, Google has announced a partner program for its platform – Google Marketing Platform Partner.
As Google has combined several of their analytics and Ads offerings into a single marketing platform, there’s a need for recommended partners that advertisers can trust and choose for the expertise and required services.
Google Marketing Platform consolidates DoubleClick advertising products and the Google Analytics 360 Suite into a single solution. Thus the partner’s program for the platform combines Google Analytics Certified Partners and DoubleClick Certified Marketing Partners.
Google’s other partner program, simply called “Google Partner” or “Google Premier Partner”, has been around since 2013 and is mostly related to partners specialising in their search advertising product Google AdWords (now Google Ads). The program was introduced back then by replacing the original Google Certification Program.
How do Google Marketing Platform Partners Help?
Google Marketing Platform Partners make it easier for advertisers to make the most of the new robust platform and their investment in the platform. The platform partners page mentions that the listed partners have the resources and expertise advertisers need to help them achieve more with their marketing.
Similar to the existing Google Partner program, advertisers will be able to find certified individuals, agencies, and other specialised companies on the recommended partners list.
The listing for Google Marketing Platform Partners already has hundreds of companies, including leading interactive agencies, system integrators, and top technology, data and media companies.
The marketing platform partners listing also includes sales partners that are officially authorised to sell Google’s offerings.

Besides the marketing platform partners, Google has also introduced Google Measurement Partners, which started with a list of 20+ verified partners that integrate well with Google advertising products and the Google Marketing Platform.
This is solely for marketers that prefer to use third-party measurement solutions to measure their advertising media and want to integrate with Google solutions.
Unlike Google Marketing Platform partners, measurement partners are other advertising media platforms’ technology solutions.
